I actually printed out the abstract but I was too tired to read it so I did the simplest thing I could think of which was to check out the numbers. Adding was the easiest, and if I couldn't find an error there, I would have worked on the percentages....but geeeez, I was not about to read the technical jargon tonight. "telaprevir (T) plus Peginterferon-alfa-2a (P) ± Ribavirin (R) in HCV genotype"? LOL And I had to beat genisi to the board so I was a bit sloppy....but just a bit.

You came very close but did not quite nail it! The “n=114” (total patients in the control arm) is correct, as you can verify by reading the abstract I linked to in #msg-36464842. The error is “n=42” (patients in the relapse subgroup of the control arm), which should read “n=41”. Kudos for noticing that 42+5+68 does not sum to 114.
