Hi limtex: I do know one or two technicians who did see the inverted head and shoulder bottom that formed from July 2002 until March 2003. And you're right; they didn't say anything aboutt it being a "screaming buy." But they did quietly mention it to Funds, Pension plans, other institutions. It's not easy to sream "Buy" when the COMPX has declined hard from 5000 or so to 1100;same with the Dow, though the Dow did not experience a mark-down phase anywhere matching the COMPX. the charts suggested strongly that the mark-down phase was over: it was not a "guarantee," merely a rather high probability. Ralph Block saw it and called it. I saw it and called it. I suspect that others saw and called it too. It kinda demends on who you listen to.
