Rbl, I never thought I'd say this, but you make more sense than many posters on this board. Spinning fantasies of Bilderbergers and conspiracies of all sorts are not harmless pursuits, they sap the life from people. Politics is a game that can be played to win, even if we have been losing lately. But when one concocts phantoms to rail against and worry about, the joy in life is gone. Living alone surrounded with gold bars and car parts may be enough for some people, and if one believes that life is futile may even make a fair amount of sense.

We are surrounded by "experts" on economic theory in the media and on the interwebs, especially this board. I am no economic expert, but I know a fair amount about life and what is truly important. But the one thing I know for sure about economics is that private companies are better for us and better for me than government, thus the Fed must be a shining light in the current climate, no economics degree needed. Not that the economists have acquitted themselves too well lately, but at least the Fed is playing with their own money. And ours as well, natch, but at least they have some skin in the game.
