You can sell a stock, take the unsettled proceeds and buy another stock with unsettled funds and you are fine.

You just can't sell the stock you just bought until the funds from the original sale are settled.


You can sell WAMKQ today and buy WAMPQ today even if you have a cash account.

You would just have to wait to sell WAMPQ until the funds from your WAMKQ sale are settled, unless you want a restriction on your account.
