Go Charles, i hope that i wish
that i had your nerve even more in a couple of months
the market is so crappy, with the exception of one of our
most massive holdings, this was the largest single day
loss in quite some time. Everyone knows the market will
rally but will it be well timed to one's long investments?
This is the uncertainty that i hate the most...
example bought stock xyz in march 2004, stock rallies in
October but dips again early in 2005, just before one has
held the stock for a year, same cycle repeats but only in
early 2006 can one sell at the peak in feb, peak is better
than in 2005 but wanted to diversify in 2005 exiting at stock
max--opportunities were lost as a result of being caught off
guard / not planning ahead for the business cycle. That’s
why the longs that have been cost averaging are in good stead
--they have a number of times that they can sell a little off
if they are so inclined...
strategy can really be depressing
