Hi Mick....I got a seedless watermelon the other day for only $2.50. It was tasty but somehow it's just not the same as the regular.

We live about 25 miles from the so-called watermelon capital of Texas (Luling). They have an annual celebration called the Watermelon Thump...their claim to fame is the seed-spitting contest! LOL No joke. Their city water tower is even in the shape (and color) of a watermelon.

Geez! 111...wow! It's about 95 here....and I'm complaining? Our big thing to cool down is to float down the Guadalupe River in giant "toobs"...;)

Did we have this potato salad discussion before? I still say the best is to mix with Hellman's mayo, add chopped celery, onion, chopped pimento, salt and pepper ...and that's it. But I'm sure Alice's is very good too. ;)
