You're almost right. It HAS been a long time but I found one longer and good news followed. The period of time between the signing ceremony and the announcement of the pilot was almost 4 months (first two below). There was almost 2 months between the completion of the pilot and the distribution deal which launched the biggest run (last two below).
I'm not saying I like long silence but it doesn't necessarly mean bad news is coming. Anything could happen.
