it's a unique business for all their size...their biggest and best customers are tied to their main frame model and IBM tweaks it to whatever they need year in year out...a former IBM engineer Gene Amdahl went out on his own and created a man frame and competed with IBM...crushed...gone....Hitachi did the same.....crushed....the only other thing out there is a Cray and it's a huge number crunching machine for scientific applications.....BRIG
