My original point is simple....If Holder wants to suppress our rights as citizens by banning assault weapons, it wont have an effect whatsoever on the cartels. They will just purchase them elsewhere, mainly China and from South America.

Holder is not going to ban the ownership of these weapons, just the continued sale of them to the public. Holder is not going to ban the private sale of them either.

The cartels will STILL get their weapons, they will still kill people and they will STILL run their drugs.

Rather than abuse me and my right to bear arms, many on this board should ask why the free flow of drugs and weapons is occurring on our borders in the first place.

And the fact remains. The AK-47 is and was the weapon of choice of drug cartels...They are shipped from China and also manufactured in Venezuela and shipped north. THAT is a fact.

Rather than everyone attack me for my opinion, they should look at the real problem...A complacent Govt on both sides of the border.

Banning the sale of assault weapons is pointless and wont stop a damn thing.

Drugs are illegal as well...Are we to assume they dont flow across the border?
