S&P short term cycle swings

S2, let’s say that I had a naked short Call and my short Call was called out (exercised). That means I will have to deliver the shares.

Is there any case that I could become a Short seller (borrow the shares from the Brokers/Market) instead of buying shares for delivery. Thanks
