"Ain't nothing like just picked."

Especially that stuff they call fruits & vegtables in that big store
where i buy my weekly food eats. The good old days for me
eat-wise was home with Mom & Dad while i growing-up as a kid.
Both were from farming families, and eventhought my Dad got a
job in the big General Electric Company he bought a big piece
of land outside city limits and built his own house while Mom
built the huge backyard as garden and chicken yard. Fresh
Fresh Fresh Fresh stuff, everything. Did i mention fresh eggs,
fresh chicken, corn, tomatoes and my favorite, them peas.
Even apple, pear, peaches and plum trees. Anything my Mom
did not grow, like watermellons, me and sidekick Richard would
ramble the backyards of other houses for free & easy pickings
of whatever we found. Not stealing since the peoples thought
that animals came and took stuff :o) Did i mention strawberries,
raspberries(my Mom's pride & joy), grapes and whenever we
went Sunday to grandpa's REAL farm, gooseberries. Wait,
almost forgot second best "Ain't nothing like just picked." eats,
that being a cucumber so fresh that it was still growing as you
took knife to slice it into thick chips to lay upon a slice of bread
with about 6 inches deep high of Hell-Mans Real Mayo and added
black pepper & salt to taste. Cucumber Sandwich, you gotta eat.
Also, a cold bowl of cucumber soup you would not believe greatness.
