Do not fool yourself, MONEY motivates!! No matter how motivated you are to save the world, and do all you can for the kids, you still have to put food on the table.

Also, if the pay was better, based on accountability/results you would pull the best of the best into education. Then the rest would take care of itself. Young people now want to go after a rewarding career with money. Hard to recruit people right out of college to come into a classroom where there is no discipline, no administration support, and no money. Yes, some do it for the love of the profession, and those great folks are far and few between.........
