Everyone wants these assets. Cash flow from rental income is killing GGP and the lenders won't lend them anymore money. Once an outside interest, (Pershing Square), can assemble (through voting agreements and other methods) enough of the outstanding shares to gain a majority, Ackman will take over the company and inject it with as much cash as is needed.

He's going to gain $8-9 in assets for every $1 that he spends to acquire it.
