It's scary how Alex is unable to follow simple dialog point by point, isn't it?

Typical conversation with Alex. I made up a name.... Joan.

Alex: "Joan, where were you tonight?"
Joan: "I was at the bowling alley."
Alex: "Why are you bragging about being at the bowling alley?"
Joan: "I wasn't bragging, I was answering your question."
Alex: "So because you were answering my question that makes the bowling alley the best place to go in town? ROFL!"
Joan: "I don't even like the bowling alley. My friend needed a ride and I went there to pick her up."
Alex: "Oh, so because your friend goes there it must be a great place? ROFL!!"
Joan: "I give up."
Alex: "It's about time. I'm dumber than a box of rocks."
