Dew,

Too busy to do much reading or posting. I don't think it is worth anything to debate this, so I will try and ask GTCB directly. I will point out that your timeline sheds no light on the topic. LFB didn't say that GTCBs goat produced CD20 Ab was starting trials, they said their CD20 Ab was in trials.

Let me try once more. From the timeline you provided, factors VIIa and IX are listed as being in pre-clinical studies in 2009, so GTCB has founder animals and is producing these two proteins from them for the pre-clincial work. Putting aside issues of feasibility and exclusivity. Let's say that today, LFB bought CHO lines that already make factor IX and factor VIIa and proteins made from these cells are already on the market. GTCB wouldn't change their timelines today to say that they have factors VIIa and IX for sale or that they are in human trials. Nothing has changed and these two proteins would still be listed as pre-clinical for goat derived proteins. I hope I am making myself clear. GTCB would still need to do pre-clinical work to demonstrate that that their proteins and Abs are pure enough and have the correct activity prior to human trials. Even if the LFB CD20 Ab and the GTCB CD20 Ab were completely identical, that wouldn't change the goat Abs status from pre-clinical to in human trials.
