It sounds like this Directv/Q Television connection via channel 581 is pure speculation driven by what appears to be the 8 hour time spans listed in the Directv channel directory and Frank's representation that the hard launch would broadcast for 24 hours in three eight hour blocks. For the curious, they should call Directv and ask why channel 581 is in 8 hour blocks. The answer may provide clarification either way.
