No one actually cared. I found that amazing but it was true. A crooked plinth block, a poorly taped wall became meaningless. I never could get used to those things. I listened to them argue for a whole day once about whether the finish was lacquer or varnish when I knew perfectly well it would have been French Polishing. Finally I took some denatured alcohol and showed them I could remove the shellac with a rag but it really didn't matter. I suppose it is better in some ways. It does seem to make people less litigious.
