Same exact shit, different recession. You think layoffs are unique to this recession?

(1) We are not Japan. They arr always cheap-ass huge savers. Even during boom times. We'll never be like that.

(2) Japan innovates nothing and has a declining population. We innovate everything and have an expanding population.

(3) We manufacture WAAAAAAAY more per capita than the 1930s.

(4) Trade balance is and always was a mere fraction of our GDP. But it makes for great headlines.

(5) Imports have fallen off a cliff.

(6) "This president has failed on jobs." ~~John Kerry, 2004, 3 years after the recession ended but nobody "felt" like it did because jobs are always last to recover.
