You don't sound real sure. Look, "protectionism"......just another one of those buzz words that's supposed to make you pee in your pants......either or nonsense. Let's junk our industrial power, which we did, because "protectionism" is such a scary word.

You protect what you have to, nothing more. It's not like the US is a banana republic with only one industry. The ONLY thing we HAVE TO import os oil and we give them cash for that.
