I agree. The most successful economies are self-sufficient with more equal distribution of resources and fair profit margins. Such markets are resilient and can function in both lean and prosperous times with consumption more equally matched to production. Less waste to boot. We've been sold too much useless shit and don't even know WTF we really need anymore.
