Hospitals are picking the hell out of the bill because it expands public sector insurance coverage to include some "middle class" (a regional term) citizens. While this is "stimualative" as it provides financial relief to our vital healthcare infrastructure and will prevent the need for more layoffs, we are hearing that a portion of the bill requires all facilities receiving fedl funds (ie public sector reimbursement) to provide abortion services.

The Catholic Church has already said that they will get out of the hospital business if they are required to provide abortion services. This would be extremely non-stimulative !! Catholic hospitals provide jobs and are an integral, important part of our healthcare infrastructure. Further, while I would be the first to grab a stick and protest the repeal of Roe (because I think women can better decide than gov), I am absolutely not inclined to participate in the procedure. Short of serious maternal or fetal health issues, I would find my own participation to be morally revulting. Who is the gov dictate such to me or some faith based organization ??

How long is the long arm of big gov ??
