speaking of ashcroft--I just sold a little boat, and the cashier's check is no longer really a cashier's check--it can be stopped within 10 days I think--also, I am not allowed (nor is my bank allowed) to call the issuing bank to see when the cashiers check is good--all caused by the patriot act says my banker
