Okay, I've been pondered declaring ALIF my #1 favorite pick (even though it's not in terms of percentage of my portfolio), and I've recently decided to make it #1 just a hair above EGMI.
What solidified my mind on ALIF the last few days? I think just more and more pondering about their success with iphone. Read on the plane about other super smart phones coming out to compete with the iphone and how applications are going to be the new thing in a huge way like applications became for the Windows operating system. Didn't mention ALIF in the article.
It also got me thinking that mobile dating software (think STVI) may be bigger than I thought. I think people are more willing to pay for software via mobile phone than they are on the internet. So an STVI dating application that's free online may be able to fetch $3.00 on the iphone. Browse iphone pics, send text messages, keep active with your "crush" directly can be very appealing IMO. And the whole "charge it to your phone bill" model just rocks instead of having to actually take out a credit card, punch in hoards of info, and run the risk of credit card number theft. Case in point....who the hell would pay $5 to download a stupid video game from the internet? Answer -- nobody. But they do for the iphone.
JMO....ALIF represents about 10% of my stock portfolio right now.
