Flotation Technologies develops Tahiti




USA/GULF OF MEXICO: Biddeford, Maine-based Flotation Technologies Inc. developed a buoyancy module used by Cameron for the Chevron-operated deepwater Tahiti field. Cameron needed to relieve weight from the high-pressure jumpers and avoid increasing the potential for vortex-induced vibrations (VIV). Flotation Technology's Straked Buoyancy Module provided VIV suppression strakes as part of the module and an inter-locking module locking system that provided a continuous helix once assembled.
