I liked TBBS a bunch, too. My main site ran during most of its life on RemoteAccess, but I ran another site for a while on TBBS using TDBS (dBase-compatible) code I'd written, and wrote TDBS sites for others and ran a WildCat board for another company.

There are only about half a dozen people I knew in the BBS days that I'm still in contact with. Though the internet variation of the BBS is a lot cooler in most regards, most of the sense of "community" is gone.
