The urge to put up interest rates is like a drug at the Fed.

they listen to all that babbling in the press about being behind the curve. There have been numerous posts on this thread about the recovery having stalled and that all sorts of pieces of the economy have hit the wall.

Thre have been comments that even semis have peaked even though the last number was an incease of 36% or so.

Looks like the addicts at the Fed don't want a 2nd Bush term.
