Feuerstein/ITMN-191 data

Thanks for replying to mcbio, I went to reply and noticed I was out of posts if this becomes a common theme then I should subscribe :).

I would challenge mcbio to search Feuerstein's articles and for each solidly positive review (other then Vertex) of an HCV company (in the past couple years particularly ones developing Protease or Polymerase compounds) I am fairly certain I could find 2+ reviews where he was misleading and/or was later proven wrong by data.

At first I thought he had something against InterMune (in the past he had positive articles on Actimmune and so perhaps he feels taken by the company and has a vendetta) but I think it is as much he is really pushing Vertex and sees the faults with every other compound while minimizing Vertex's. I got a good laugh out of todays article on Vertex "some fiscal restraint" (http://www.thestreet.com/story/10457331/2/biotech-confab-first-look-at-todays-news.html ). Now I think the more appropriate thing when mentioning Vertex's burn is to point out the remarkable thing, which was discussed here on a thread a while back namely how they already are one of the biggest (if not the biggest) burners of cash in biotech ever and they still have a couple years before telaprevir gets to market, much less gets them to profitability!

Feuerstein is good at bashing especially very bad companies. But unbiased reporting is not his strong suit IMO.
