IMO if you are a pre BK and still holding your shares then yes you need to file. If you are a pre BK holder and you sell your share then no you get the tax write off. Post BK holders will be wasting their time. This is just my opinion but to be 100% sure you should consult with a lawyer or your broker. Good luck.
