Yes you are correct, Dec average was $29.12 for the month, however December is only 1/12 of the year.

Care to guess what the average price for oil was for the year of 2008?

No question it was greater than $29.15 AND I will bet it also exceeds my $51.00 per barrel average annual number used for my projection.
