R/S or Forward Split?

Wouldn't they want to issues more shares to give to themselves and investors as they pour their assets into NWOL? They could triple the number of shares, announce all of the assets which would generate a high EPS, and have a $10 stock with 3 X as many shares! An R/S doesn't make sense to me but what do I know .. I believed them when they said there was a buyout at $2.10!
