A few years back, his teenage son died on the Navesink River, in some water sport activity. He was taken to Riverview but sadly lost his life. K. Hovnanian has since donated many millions to both Riverview and to the (now) K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital at JSUMC. They are a tight knit family who obviously took the loss of their child very hard. Who wouldn't? It would appear HOV has hit hardtimes itself. They built a very large, magnificent office complex on Broad Street -- on the Navesink. The building remains largely empty. Tough times for many people, in so many different ways...

I think the government made him crazy during their 10 year pursuit and investigation of every aspect of his life. Jersey Shore maintains a wing named for Brennan.
And, yes, 42 bachelor degree programs and an assortment of masters degree programs, now available thru Brookdale Communiversity. Who woulda thunk... A low cost education available to everyone. It's a good thing.
