I pointed that parallel out to you a couple of days back. I din't realize at the time but we seem to disagree on who's playing the native population and whom the violent expansionist European settlers in this scenario. That seems hard to imagine.

I'm Jewish, so I came by this way of thinking slowly over the last 10 or 12 years... but please read this piece. It's well annotated from official records, and most of Israel's "New Historians" agree on it.
