If they want Hamas to reign in the militants, is bombing their security forces such a great idea?

Of course if they want an excuse to continue their genocide... they don't have to fake attacks. They just have to starve a few more babies to death... let a few more cancer patients die screaming without meds and wait til the young men start going off on them.

Then start murdering people indiscriminately.

It's a plan I guess.
