Hi zab: From your post it seems that many commodities are in a "mark-down" phase. Like stocks [on a longer term chart] mark-down usually happens after the prior mark-up and distribution phases are complete. If the game isn't terribley rigged, mark-down will continue until supply/demand are once again in balance and a new re-accumulation phase begins.
