Holly - stop loss took me out early, rebought OVTI at 15
even added more when it retraced to 17 Friday. I think there were lots of one day traders exiting the stock and causing momentary weakness from the initial gap up. The shorts are talking about new competition being a problem. From what I know OVTI has huge first to market advantages in a field where phone camereas are 15% of market and going to 40% by end of decade. They offer camera on a chip that save on space and power. The chips are going form 1.5mpxl up to 5 at very high end. Expect the low end first entry competitors to be hit with OVTI price slashing. So margins may suffer there but lot of new high end products and even new uses lay ahead. medical imaging, auto collions and other I can't remember.
Unless CMOS technology is trumped OVTI may be forced to back and raise past profits again. - end pump - Not very familiar with competitiion and at what angles they may come from maybe a big guy like Kodak would like to own the business at a nice premium to the 27 I think it's worth.
