Chico-Sorry that it was not clear that I am using a 5" chart. The 5" chart is catching so much of the moves that it is very profitable. I think it has the potential to be ever bit as good as NERS and for me, better. I have seen very few false signals. I am really impressed with how it worked last week. 18% on 1x trades is outstanding, but as I have said many times, we are in unusual times.
I decided to not change the MACD to speed it up because I think that defeats the whole purpose of what Larry is trying to do. I like the see the second pull back just as Larry describes it. I don't want concurrent signals! I am currently paper trading with a very loose set of rules that are rolling around in my head, but here are two that I think will work. One, the second Stoc cross over don't have to be a full cross over, a flatting followed by resumption in acceleration counts. Two, if there are two solid Stoc crossovers before the MACD crossover, take the MACD cross as a signal.
I don't have time to trade a 5 min chart at the present which is probably good. I really need to see a lot of entries before I nail down a set of rules and commit money to the system, but as I said, I think this has great potential. Let's see what the yield is for this week. Take a look at the 5" chart and see what you see.
