cw: As I read it, this technology will apparently require full clinical trials for a PMA. They cannot go the 510-k SE route. Hence, "years away" from U.S. commercialization. FDA-approved LTC can already do everything claimed in these news reports. Lasers have, in the past, been very problematic vis a vis heat control. Count me skeptical about this unripened hype.
