On the Churak issue ...
Unlike Churak (who has argued the point with me) and others, I do not believe in "rules". I believe in judgment. But judgment has its failings, not least of which is that it is seldom unanimous. In this case, I disagreed with a judgment of management and expressed that view with some vigor.
The fact that I disagreed on the issue does not mean that I disagree with the concept. As we can see by the kind of trash some people try to post on these boards, iHub would be a wasteland if Matt were unwilling to control it. I, for one, am thankful that he does so. I do not agree with all his decisions (only an idiot would expect me to), but the effect of his efforts is a boon to us all. Nor should we ever lose sight of the fact that we benefit from his efforts without having to endure the vicious attacks often levelled at him.
Still, good people are always at a premium and must be treasured. A community such as ours can not afford the loss of people like WTM (Troy) Houston and Churak and, probably, Derf (I never got acquainted with Derf. I suspect that's my loss). Losing people like these to capriciousness should be painful to all of us. It was to me ... so I howled.
It is my sincere hope that the issue can be resolved in such a way that we are not denied the pleasure of Churak's and Derf's and Troy's company ... and their frequently helpful guidance.
