Would you post a comparison between the 3.6 Pentium and the Opteron in terms of how they process 32 bit non-game software. Or your extrapolation of. and with the new 915 chipset. Anand(?) seems to say that the new boards are only about 2-3% faster but there may be some alchemy with the new 3.6 cpu.

It is, of course my belief that 32 bit will be the battle ground for the desktop. Opteron's real advantage is that it runs 32 bit software 10-20% faster.

Oh, and w, have you noticed, of course, the simularity between Intel's new branding system and BMW's?
