i never could understand why GTC was unable to recover this loss from the contractor...

terms of the contract...?
the ability of contractor to pay...? I dunno.

in my mind it appears GTC has been pushing from its inception to be recognized by the US regulators (transgenics platform) -i.e. ATryn approval by the FDA.

No doubt this approval is an important milestone. If approval comes... what is the value to the company, beyond ATryn sales and milestone payment?

Will / could this approval open doors / opportunities that were previously closed?
