I remember in the 60's TV Repairman was a thriving business. They had vans with all the tubes and parts in there and would come to your house to do the repairs so it wasn't necessary to carry that huge console TV into the shop. Now they are few and far between, and since their are no tubes, they mainly just change out circuit boards, ususally with a used one from a salvage TV since the new boards are expensive and sometimes not even available. The TV repair shops end up looking like a TV junkyard. Times sure have changed.
