What are you talking about? CEO and COO is in charge of the operation, CFO always have to take care about financial stuff like funding, that includes stock price. It's always the CFO who answer rumours and bogus claim to the investors. Ensuring growth don't mean you don't address the problem. Tell me, please tell me, what is it that so incompatible between the two? So if they address the problem, they can't do their other jobs as well?
