i am not saying it as great model, i was just pointing out that it is how our system is designed. If growth was not considered inevitable over the long term, why would 401k strategies exist?
it is sort of like "bad stuff can happen, but not to us".
well, lately, some bad stuff has been happening, and even though much of it is probably self-inflicted, it does not change the reality and enormity of the situation.
