OT RE: Well not from the car but the coal fired plants that are likely providing the electricity are killing 10s of thousands of Americans every year from the pollution and radioactive material going up the smoke stacks.

I was surprised to learn that the new generation coal fired plants in Europe are as clean as the best gas fired plants. I agree shift to electric vehihcles will put a huge load on the power grid, and it does not matter if they are hybrid, fuel cell or battery power, they all need electric power to generate the hydrogen, or charge the batteries. ops I guess we are off topic.
