I think that all depends if they have to schedule a hearing with the judge to have a last hearing for discharge of the bankruptcy. If the judge sets the date at the end of the year, then great, or is it that they do not need to have a hearing date set. Remember this is holiday season and judges control the calendar.

Or is it that they announce a deal regardless of the legalities and hearing dates. How do you think this would work?
