As bad as the Bush deficits are, they pale in comparison to the real immediate causes of our current condition. The major problem they have created is that they have left us with a very small arsenal with which we can fight our way out of this mess.

This is one of the best explanations I have read concerning the causes of the economic problems we now face (and it should be easy for the layman to understand)
