The Question and Answer Board

Somehow the "boardmarks" number is considered off topic even though there is such a thing as a "boardmark" for any particular board. Boardmarks change through time, and it is interesting to me to see them change. But now they seem to be off topic if I post a boardmark number. If they were off topic you would think such a numerical reference as to the popularity of the board would not even have been thought of. Can someone with a clear head explain that to me?
