chilar, none of us will be buying at the highest price if we can help it. We all want to buy low. When I am seriously buying or selling, I don't advertise it (I probably should never say never) until I am through, if at all.

I would think that bidding lower only takes the price lower instead of the opposite as you seem to. I don't have enough money to force the mm's to overbid me, and I really don't understand your strategy. The constant foretelling of placing lower bids would seem to me, however, to cause others to think that the value is not there in order to raise the ask.
