I know of a number of technologies under development for more than 20 years, which, if successful, will spring into full blown economic revolution (and the associated dislocations that accompanies these, revolutions, think of all the horse buggies manufacturing going under when the automobile came on the scene), and I am not even counting on nanotechnology, which has been worked on n one fashion or another for 30 years, and going, and going, and going.....
