CAP (competitive advantage period) is IMO the most important value driver, but few investors take it into consideration.
Agree very much so.
This is precisely why I focus so much time and energy in the small cap arena...my contention is that many of the most innovative companies toil in relative obscurity at the behest of some funded need by off the books government demand.
In this way many of these companies never emerge, yet others emerge when thier particular contributory content to some greater systems demand materializes. At these times of transition we have the coming together of elements, allowing us to remake some part of our economy, ie capital allocation moves from where it was once needed to where its most promising need will be.
IMO the fogging of clarity of the momentum behind immenent change; is one of the systems ( mr market) biggest tasks.
